Rich Lord is co-host of SportsRadio 610's afternoon show alongside Marc Vandermeer, the voice of the Houston Texans. Rich is an award-winning sportscaster named by the Houston Press as "The Best Sports Talk Show Host" in Houston. As the longest-tenured sports talk host on the air in the Houston market, Rich has covered landmark Houston sporting events such as the Rockets' 4 trips to the NBA Finals, including the championships of 1994 and 1995, numerous trips to the playoffs by the Astros along with historic no-hitters by Nolan Ryan and Mike Scott, Super Bowl XXXVIII, MLB and NBA All-Star games, Phi Slamma Jamma, as well as the return of the NFL to Houston in 2002. Rich has been a member of the team at SportsRadio 610 since 1995 and has been heard on the airwaves in the Houston area since 1981. In addition to his current duties in the afternoon, Rich is also the host of "Countdown to Kickoff," and "Texans Fan Feedback," heard before and after Houston Texans broadcasts. During his many years on the air in Houston, Rich has also performed as both an anchor and reporter, and spent time hosting pre-game and post-game shows for the Houston Rockets, Astros and Oilers as well. Rich began his radio career in 1981, following his graduation from the University of Dayton. He lives in Sugar Land, Texas with his wife, Jenny and daughter, Kathryn.
